Dell Features Alabama Firm in New Case Study
Forte' Project Demonstrates Innovative Uses of Technology to Save Lives

Birmingham, AL – March 22, 2007 – Dell has released a new case study featuring the work of Alabama-based Forte' Incorporated. The study focuses on Forte’s LifeTrac project. The LifeTrac computer system is used locally by BREMSS (Birmingham Regional Emergency Medical Services System), fifteen area hospitals and 2,400 emergency medical technicians.

Dell writes and distributes case studies to show how Dell systems and services have helped organizations increase productivity, improve collaboration and communication, and streamline system management. Case studies are made available from Dell’s website and are also distributed worldwide to clients and potential clients.

"We are extremely pleased to have one of our projects selected by Dell as an example of technical innovation and excellence. This case study recognizes Forte's expertise and impact in the technology marketplace,” said Glenn S. Phillips, Forte' President. “Even better, our team is able to provide this level of value and excellence to all of our clients in a variety of industries.”

A summary from the case study:

For victims of traumatic injuries, prompt medical attention can make the difference between life
and death. So when officials with Birmingham Regional Emergency Medical Services System
(BREMSS) learned that less than half of severe trauma patients in their region were transported
to an emergency room that was appropriate to their injuries, they decided to create a better system.

In 1996, they enlisted technology services company Forté Incorporated to help build a groundbreaking
patient routing system. Forté and BREMSS built LifeTrac, a multi-hospital communications system that
provides first responders with real-time reports of hospital resources. The system covers a six-county
area around Birmingham, Alabama, where BREMSS oversees pre-hospital care.
